Quick User Guide (Parents)

SchoolMessenger Mobile App and Web Portal (www.go.schoolmessenger.com)

First-time user SIGN UP with your email that is on file with the District. You will need to have access to the email for verification. If you have questions about your email on file, please call your school office or the Technology office at 619-258-2240.

Log In with your email and password. If you forget your password, use the “Forgot Your Password?” link to reset your password.

Under the App Menu  menu 
Messages 
The messages page displays all messages sent to you from the District, School, and Teacher during the last 30 days.

Messages are sorted newest first and oldest last.

 Join Groups


You can see all the Groups that you are a member of. There are two type of Groups:
Automatic Group – Group that is link to your account through your student’s class.
Teacher Created Group – Group created by a teacher that your and join using a unique access code provided.
Groups are used for communication between teachers and parents.

 Preference


Manage incoming messages from District and School. View and edit how you are contacted by the District/School when a Broadcast message is sent.

 Settings


Setup 
PUSH Notification. Select the type of messages that you want to be notified
